maybe a week or two. i have been to a morgue a few times to watch some autopsies. the deceased that i saw died of (car) accidents, drug overdoses, natural, and murders. it is amazing what to see what is in the human body. i believe it depends on what the person died of.

It depends on several factors:
1. How the person died (or may have died).
2. The size of the office conducting the autopsy.
3. Location of the office conducting the autopsy.
4. Laws governing the city, county and state where the
autoposy is being conducted.
5. How many deaths this office must process.
6. Funding available for testing.

Typically, more complicated deaths being handled by small cities will take longer than simple deaths handled in a major city. With all these factors in play there is no "typical" amount of time that will apply to any autopsy. You could be looking at weeks to months.

I think it depends on the way they died, I would say a decapitation autopsy would be short, while a poisoning with nine different drugs could take weeks or months

20 minutes to find the stapler, 5 seconds to staple. If you're out of staples, you need to take a trip to Orifice Wax, or Orifice Dee-poe. That could take hours, if you get stuck in traffic.

Depends.. if they find no physical reason for a death ie heart attack, blood clots etc.. then they do drug screening which could take weeks or even months.. especially if authorities suspect foul play..
