in windows vista how do u get rid of the huge arrows on all of the shortcuts

"Vista Shortcut Overlay Remover 1" will remove or make a smaller arrow in Vista, I used it myself. Works great, install it. Run it, it will give you a window to choose how you want the arrow to look or be removed. Restart your computer and it's done.

in case you have not emptied your Recycle Bin, attempt restoring that document. at the same time as its already restored, attempt deleting the shortcut first then the document itself. only attempt if this works. :) Or how about easy fresh your laptop (F5 or suitable-click then Refresh)?...
