Is it a prank? It depends.
Does he talk to you normally or is this the first time he has said anything to you? If it is the latter, then it is most likely a prank.
When he asked you out, was he by himself or were his friends in the background as if watching to see what would happen? Once again, if it's the latter, it is most likely a prank.
Did he seem serious when he asked you out or was he half grinning, trying not to laugh? You guessed it - if it is the latter, it's most likely a prank.
Either way, if it is the former of all three, I think you're pretty safe. If it is the latter of all three, I hope you said no. If you didn't, dump his sorry ***. Make up a witty comeback to regain your pride and life is good. :)

Before you say yes - find out why he asked you out. Don't be rude about it - but just simply ask him..."So, I'm just curious but what compelled you to ask me out?"
It's that simple. If he was doing it as a prank he wouldn't be nice to you and he might even try to ditch you. Might as well go for it though. Guys are hard to read sometimes - maybe he really does like you.

Well if you like him find out things not dirty things like I know what you did last wednesday but, what his favorite color is stuff like that.... But if you just want to date because of looks dont do it.... ITS MOST LIKELY TO BE A PRANK because a lot of jocks do that
