Reasons for increased drinking:
1. Idiopathic - dogs do get dementia
2. Renal (kidney) failure (increaded drinking and urination, loss of appetite)
3. Hyperadrenocorticism (increased drinking, urination, swollen abdomen, hair loss)
4. Cancer (feels sick and so drinks)
5. Change in diet (if changed diet recently it could be higher in sodium)
Signs of increased drinking is never a good thing!
Take to vet they will do a urine test first to see if your dog is concentrating her urine, then bloods to see kidney / liver function.

She probably has diabetes. Being constantly thirsty is a symptom, and labs are prone to diabetes. You should take her to the vet as soon as possible.

Take her to the vets asap. She could be going into kidney failure. If you leave it for to long the kidneys can actually start to back up. Pushing urine into the cats mouth causing bleeding ulcers not pleasant and very painful.
