so, I had this little pimple [you could see the white of it] on my lip....& I popped it! All was good, It was almost healed when I, stupidly, scratched the scab off the top where I had initially popped it.
Then I picked at it too much & now it looks like a blister! I have never had cold sores before, so not sure if this is one. But It definitely started as a pimple, so I am thinking that I have just caused an infection from being an idiot & not letting it heal!
It feels GROSS & looks icky! I am making sure I don't touch it anymore [I have learnt a lesson from this!]
Any ideas? Could it be a cold sore? I have a bf, but have never seen anything similar on his lips...

Herpes starts out looking like a small pimple then gets big. Let your doctor check it out. He can give you something to control the outbreak.

When you see pimples coming in leave them alone...My daughter has the odd pimple here and there she puts toothpaste on them at night and the next morning she washes her face with Cetaphil and then repeats the next night and is usually gone within a couple of days but now that you picked it there might be a little scarring .The only thing i could suggest right now is Blistex for cold sores and when u get another pimple try the toothpaste and Cetaphil thing okay...good luck
