I'm so fed up with contact lenses. I've been using them for a year now. I have tried EVERYTHING to make them feel comfortable. I can always, always, always feel them in my eyes ... constantly. Its so irritating. I thought they were dry so i switched to moisturizing lenses. Then I thought they were the wrong curvature for my eye so i went back, turns out it was right. Its hard to explain...sometimes it feels like the unsuction in my eyes lol, and then i feel like a pop and they're suctioned back on again. could it be that because my eyes are so small, the eyelid is always moving them around or something?

I think you need to try different brands. I have been wearing lenses for 20 years without any discomfort at all. I use Bauch & Lomb (various over the years).

You can get trial lenses:

Your lenses should not be uncomfortable - they should be wonderful! If you have dry eyes, lenses may not be for you - you should discuss that with your doctor. If your doctor is not helping you find a solution - find another doctor!

Even though your contacts are moist you could have dry eyes. At night when you take them out apply a moisturizing ointment to both eyes and during the day apply moisturizing drops 3 times a day (ensure that the drops are ok for contact wearers - should be labelled).
Also, check the lenses for any small tears or particle matter. Make sure you are cleaning them as directed by your opthomologist or the package insert if there is one.
This could also be caused by allergens such as pollen or dust. You could try an anti-histamine along with the moisturizing treatments if you think this could be a cause.
Also, check to see that you are not applying them inside out. My contacts have a small E imprinted on them. When I put them on, if the E is backwards, then I have the contact positioned the wrong way...

Best of luck to you. I know how frustrating and irritating this is...

It might be because you have astigmatism. Talk to your optometrist about that first. Regular contact lenses are designed as "baseball" shape, & if you have astigmatism, your eyes won't fit the lenses very well due to their "football" shape. Or you might want to switch. Acuvue & Freshlook are the two brands that I would recommend. Don't dry your hands with anything that will leave fuzzes before putting on your lens, that will be a problem causing irritations to your eyes.

Good luck.

Buy gas permeables, they're much more comfortable.
Everyone has those stupid soft lenses nowadays. What a con. Soft Lenses are less hygenic as well.

I think you need a second opinion. With today's expertise and technology in contact lenses, there is still room for error with your optometrist.

try another brand. I recently switched brands and the lens for my right eye kept doing the same thing. I had to switch brands again for that eye.
