Here's the situation - I have a friend I have a very big crush on. We're not actually tremendously close, but he does like me (and we talk a lot)- I just don't know how much. There's also another friend who likes him, and who spends more time with him, but this other friend is male, and the guy in question, while a bit bisexual, prefers women over men (I'm female).

The other issue is age - I'm not quite 21, and he just turned 31 (pretty much all of my friends are older - since I moved away from where I went to high school, I've been having difficulty making friends my own age). I also live with my parents (I'm a student). This is ...awkward. (The other guy is 28.)

Basically, my question is, is this worth pursuing, and if so, how should I go about it?

I think that you should follow your heart. However keep in mind that dating someone that much older than you can cause some problems. First of all because your maturity levels will be much different. Also as you both continue to age usually your paths in life become very different. I have seen too many relationships grow apart becasue of the age difference. Just be careful and keep the friendship going for sure. Feel it out . . but also keep looking . . you will know when you find the right person. Remember as we all age we change and most of our changes happen between age 18-25. Have fun and good l uck.

In this day and age, that isn't that big of a deal. Just go about persuing him like you would any other guy. Spend some time alone with him and see how things go.

just tell the guy that you like that you would like to spend some more alone time with him so you can get to know him. if he dont feel the same way about you he will not want to spend any alone time with you.

its not worth pursuing. not at all. i mean... he's... so old. way older than u. if u're really sure tat he likes YOU, not the other girl, give it a chance, but the way that you're talking tells me that the other girl is stronger than u. im sorry to say this, but u shld give up.
