Okay first off you need to compare apples and apples. The 900 series is broken into four group models. The 900 is the base model in all years. the 900S is a non-turbo but does have some creature features. The 900 Turbo and depending on year the SE is the top of the model. If the 900 is pre '94 the SPG model is the hot rod. The Aero came into being with the 9000 model introduction and continued into the 9-5 series. The 9-3 series is the morf of the 900 model. As with any car line Saab has it's highs and it's lows. The bottom line is ASK the right questions of a Saab Master Tech before you even consider a purchase. You will be a whole lot happier in the long run. This holds true for any car you are considering buying, new or used.

ive had a 900s turbo - but if you are thinking of buying a 900s or the aero - you're comparing two different beasts ! the 900s is the base model - even if you go for the turbo version, with approx 175bhp, nothing fancy inside - whereas the aero is the top spec model, leather, computers and considerably faster with about 255bhp.
