your father is 67 and he threatens you, get out of the house and stand up for yourself. if he is just threatening you then let him talk and blow off some steam but if he is threatening to hurt you thats different. leave , isthere somewhere you can go or someone you can tell if you are a teen, go to tell a teacher, tell a concelor. tell a relative. good luck.

how old are you? i'm 62 and my daughter was 9 feb 1. i threaten to bust her behind when she does something wrong, like going some where with out telling anyone she is going. is this what you mean by hurt you? or is he in the Alzheimer or senile dementia? if so he needs to be cared for, not abandoned. we had to place my dad in a nursing home because of a car wreck/ hear trauma that made him violent he didn't last long, an i regret times i didn' visit.

Ok, why would you want to respect someone who threatens to hurt you? GET HELP, he might have a psychological problem - has he always been like this like as you were a child?? If so, then its probably just him and you need to contact the police- you should know this!!

how old are you? No matter, this should not happen. Contact a womens shelter or social services. If he touches you call the police. If you need help finding support in your area, i will help you. Your situation is not a good one. If you can't trust your father. The one person in the world that is supposed to protect you. I am a father. This is unacceptable for a man to act that way to his kids

Of course you should defend yourself!!! Dont let him push you around. He only does it because you allow him to. Let him know that you wont stand for it. Tell him in a stern enough way that it'll make him KNOW that you're not joking. Just scare him a little but dont give him a heart attack...he is elderly you know!
Good Luck!

you need to start recording on video the times that your dad is threatening you. If he kills you then there will be documentation. Or, if he just threatens you then you have proof!! Go to the police!!!

Sounds like someone's father needs to get his a$$ kicked by a man.

You need to tell him that you EXPECT better from him and that his lack of better judgement is causing him to lose respect.

Let him know that if he needs to talk that you're willing to listen, but also let him know that you will not be his punching bag....

If he does try, call police and let him spend the night in jail thinking about it.

Defend yourself don't worry about being disrespectful because he is being disrespectful by threating you. stand up to him let him know that your not going to stand for it anymore. defend yourself in anyway that you need to it doesn't matter
