The lessons I have learned in the martial arts has carried over into my business and personal life. I think I am a better person with high morals. It's helped me to be more confident to speak in front of groups and to meet new customers without any prior introductions. It's also great for getting and staying in shape.

I Have been involved in Martial Arts since the age of 15.
Now at the age of 50 I am still in "Great shape" with the
typical "Karate Body"
I am lean and toned,so much so people seldom guess my age.
Many 50 year olds are over weight couch potatoes with a beer in one hand and a high fat salty snack in the other.
They fight.........they fight high blood
pressure, diabetes, and a host of other physical problems I will never even think about.
Lets not forget to mention my training has saved my life more than once.
I owe my life to Martial Arts,as do a couple of people that I helped because they could not defend themselves against thugs who choose the weak and elderly to prey upon.

Taekwondo is one of the best things to ever happen to me. However, most of this comes from where you learn rather than what you learn. My Grandmaster, Grandmaster Choi, taught respect, kindness, and self-defense. He was and is a role model to all of his students. There are many places where, as long as you pay, you'll get a black belt. But there are a few where you have to earn it. If you find one of those places, Martial Arts can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life.

Very carefully, that's how.
Also, I get to hit people! YAY!!
I would be physically fit and have sum scrap even if I wasn't a martial hobbyist, so I don't count those as benefits for me.

Self confidence. The lessons you learn can and do shape how you see yourself. Knowing how to defend yourself, and those you love is a powerful thing. Also doing things that you thought you could never do is huge. Its not about going out and beating someone up, its about defeating the self doubt that you have inside of yourself.
