My boyfriend and I just started going out last week. We are both really close. Me and him were having a serious conversation when I brought up that he thinks hiis dad may be abusing him. He toled me his dad leans him over his desk every night and uses the cane really hard on him. He was like " I don't cry, I've gotten used to the pain." He said that his dad will make up excuses to hit him but will never touch his younger brother of 14. He toled me not to tell, I refused but he begged. I don't know what to do, he hides it, no one will ever find out. We are both 16 and from the UK. Oh, and I found a video on youtube. I've never been spanked so I don't know what he's going through. I searched corporal punishment on youtube and found a video that looks a lot like what he was describing. His father is abusing your boyfriend. Sounds like it has sexual overtone, too.

What you describe is definitely abuse, and may even be sexual in nature. He needs to talk to someone about his experience. Which brings up the question of why he told you after a one-week relationship. Maybe you can find a teacher or someone he trusts and take him to a meeting with this adult and persuade him to tell. Please keep trying.

definetly abuse. you should talk to your school counselor about it... or your parents. tell your boyfriend it's nothing to be ashamed of. but that getting this out will help him for the rest of his life and will help his brothers future too.
