There are only 3 versus talking about homosexuality, but they are not very open for discussion. They all speak directly against lying with another man and saying those who do will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Hello! The Bible also doesn't say a single thing about shooting people in the face with a rifle, but you know that it falls under the Thou Shalt Not Kill rule. Same thing with abortion which more times than not also falls under the Thou Shalt not commit adultery.

If you think that Christians say abortion is wrong just because they feel like it, then you should hang out with more Christians. First of all, everyone already mentioned the 10 commandments. Second, religion has nothing to do with marriage, but God has everything to do with it. Christianity is not a religion, it is a way of life, the only way of life that will reward you after your death.

It is not about being mean to gay people, it is about not openly tolerating sin, and that goes for any sin. You can say whatever you want about religious beliefs and sin and blah blah, but the fact is we are going to stand on God's word whether you like it or not.

I don't need to quote the Bible or mention Jesus in order to show why abortion is wrong. I cannot even believe that there are people who try to justify such a horrible thing, or that we allow it to take place at such an alarming rate.

If you have read the Bible from cover to cover, then you are very aware that the Bible is not at all happy with homosexuality . . . therefore marriage concerning the same is a given.

The Bible also is against murder . . . if you believe that a fetus is a living person, then this too is a given.

This brings us to the culture war that we are in presently.

Your problem is not the Bible . . it is the majority of Americans (remember: abortion is a product of Judges, not the people at large)

The bible doesn't exactly speak out against abortion, but it is one of the Christian's commandments that they can't kill anyone, which leads you to wonder why they kill the doctors performing the abortions. Isn't that a double negative? Anyway, they perceive abortions as murders of unborn children.
As far as gay marriages go, it says " A man shall cleave to his wife ", which in no way specifies gender. I mean, c'mon, SOMEone's gotta be the b**** of the relationship, right?

Mark 10; 4-9 Jesus explains that marriage originally had nothing to do with religion but in fact the act of sexual intercourse between male and female constituted marriage....But the certificate of marriage thus precept of divorce was instituted because the people did not accept this fidea because they were so unteachable out of the hardness of their heart. Neither accepting that consummation consituted marriage. (complete (the union of a marriage) by the first marital sexual intercourse.)

Abortion is in the book of Isaiah, can't recall chapter and verse though, It says, I knew ye before you were formed in the womb. If that doesn't give a good answer to avoid abortion , I don't know what does. I know , you'll disagree and so will others, but, it sure makes sense not to mess with God's plans for others........ There is also one of the 10 commandments.....Thou shall not kill......That's easy though.....

thou shall not kill? how many jews were killed in the past, say... 1000 years? MILLIONS!!!!! that does not work out as an appropriate answer. the bible does not speak of abortion, christains are just trying the weaken the seperation of church and state once again. the christians often fear things different from themselves, and so they think that gay people and gay marriage is evil. religions does not protect people from bad, evil things, it starts them.

The bible never addresses abortion and it was quite common in Jesus' time and actually obliged in some cases and he never spoke against it. Mostly because until recently the Aristotilian concept of delayed ensoulment was believed and accepted in religion and society.

Marriage is a sacramental bond, it comes out of religion. Civil unions as they have always been recognized by governements however have nothing to do with religion and no one should be banned from them.
