Who said it did? The Bible is a book. Does the Atheist Bible make them successful in life...how about the Satanic Bible? Which Bible promises success???? A book cannot give you success son, only your choices can do that.

Because the Bible provides a great code to live life by: Service to others, loving those around you, holding your tongue when you want to say something rude, being generous with your blessings, honoring your wife/family, sacrifice, faithfulness, raising kids.....the list goes on.
Pretty good swing thoughts to have in life. I think if you can live by these standards you will be able to look back one day on a great life that made a difference in people's lives.

I wonder whether we might not first ask whether the Bible makes people successful in life. Of course we'd have to know which people we were referring to and what we meant by "successful in life" before we determined whether the Bible in fact produced that result.
Get back to me when you've finished the research and have defined the terms.

It doesn't. Moral belief and a sense of right and wrong whether it comes from religion, philosophy, or other things helps one to be sucessful at being a human being, but I doubt that is what you meant at by sucessful in life. Even though being a good human being is really the only success that matters.

wait...who said being christian guaranteed a successful life? the illegal immigrants coming over from mexico are mostly christian..i don't think they're exactly the world's best business leaders. you get your best and worst in every religious group. as long as you work hard for the money, i think you'll do okay. the idea of christians being superior came from the missionaries that forced out side countries to convert. is that true though? i don't think so. you can't categorize success in religious groups.

That's not a logical question. Following the Bible won't neccessarily make you successful.

It doesn't. I have travelled in South America and Mexico and have seen numbers of people in extreme poverty who have bibles and believe in God fervently. Don't judge by what goes on in America.

It certainly does if you follow it!!...God's word has all the wisom and knowledge one needs to get ahead in life.
A lot of people won't agree with you because: they are not successful and they misunderstand the question.

It's not the Bible itself....Its the One we come to know through the Bible and the personal relationship with Jesus. Of course, it also depends on your definition of success.

Eventhough it is a fictional account, it does have both good and bad moral stories in it we can learn from.
