keep busy, buddy. do anything that will take your mind off of the whole situation. you're not in your right state of mind and have no business trying to make decisions on what you should do or should have done. keep busy until the initial phase clears and then you're more attuned to make a better judgement at what's right and what's wrong. give it a good week.

Two years is notting. I was with a guy for 4 years. I put my life on hold and did everything right and even more. I say get a job and keep busy. Do the things that you always wanted to do. Spend time with your friends and faimly the people who care about you the most. They can help you and they can listen to you when your feeling down. There are lots of fish in the sea. Don't go out right away. Take some time to heal. Take one day at a time.

AAWWWW so sorry to hear that, there is no best way to get over someone, my guy friends would say go out and get with someone else, but i think the best way is to stay busy, have as many cries as you need and dont feel guilty for doing it, then maybe get into some hobbies, it will take time, but if it is done and dusted, dont answer any calls, emails, texts etc, this will prolong the healing, you will get through it ....in time.

Mmm...hurts don't it?!!!

I got good news and bad news. The good news is that you WILL get over it...just takes time. The bad news is that it can take a LONG TIME.

The best thing to do is KEEP AWAY from her! Don't salt your wounds anymore than they need to be salted!

Look, there are lots of girls. I once thought, I'd never meet anyone better than the girls I split up with. Now, I'm married to hottie!!!

Dude, take it easy. Don't get to excited and just calm down! Life is a LOT more than obsessing over some chick! You will be fine!

Pray some, talk to people, ask more questions. I'm sure it'll all work out for U..it always does!

Get to know yourself more. Now is the time when you have a lot of freedom. I suggest you make good use of it. Take up a new hobby, hang out more with your friends, do something you have been meaning to do. Sit down and think about the relationship in a positive perspective. Think about all the things you experienced while you were with her and how that makes you a better person. Live with it and learn to go on...... U can do it :)

getting over any relationship doesn't happen over night. grieving is a process not an event... feel the feelings. the following are stages of grief: 1. survival 2. healing 3. growth.
allow yourself the process. depending on the length and depth of the relationship will depend on how long it takes... and this part is not written in stone... but.. it can take anywhere from 3moths to 2yrs... if longer u may want to ask more questions.
find people safe to share all your feelings with... anger, hurt, rejection... all of them... good luck!

Give your self time to think things through and breathe. You can't rush getting over someone. You can cry or write in a journal or just relax and read a book. It takes time to get over a serious long-term relationship, so give yourself some space and wait. it will happen in due time.
