Have you ever considered that the problem is your attitude to life?
Not trying to have a jab here, I 'm dead serious.
If you look at each thing to see the good in it, and not the bad, life will seem better. After a short while, life will be better.
See if you can get hold of a copy of "The Secret" it will give you the basic tools you need to change things.
It's not a God botherer thing, and I'm no God botherer either.
The show was on free to air in Australia a month or two ago, so you should be able to find it online.
Maybe also gram a copy of the life of Brian too. Monty Python always helps ;)

You say you're not a materialistic person but you give the impression that you are and a pessimistic one too. You are on yahoo answers, you have acess to a computer, you are one of the richest people in the world. You are capable or writing this question and again you are lucky. Jesus didn't die on the cross so you could go to some candyland up in the sky, he didn't create you just to moan over what you haven't had. You are so special to God and he would give you anything you want outside of the materialistic range if you would only believe in him. Whats money compared to miricals, health and life?
Hope this helps :)

Have you noticed how many Christians say that they have a personal relationship with Christ and would never turn away from that because of the blessing they receive?
Why do they say this? They say this because when you belong to Jesus, He takes care of His own.
If you don't believe in God, then that is why you are not receiving anything. It is about being obedient, loving God with all of your heart, and loving other people.
What are you doing to bless others? If you bless others and belong to Jesus, then blessings come back to you.
Luck has nothing to do with it. Luck is not of God.
Life is not good and productive without Jesus and Death would be more than devastating without Him.
You might consider inviting Jesus into your heart. He is waiting for you to do that. Peace.

Shalom,
There are two types of truth: there is the absolute truth, which recognizes and knows the innermost essence of any given thing; and there is also the lesser truth, which, though it desires the truth, is nevertheless incomplete and mistaken. God's truth, is by no means easily acheived.
We can certainly appreciate this knowing that the search for truth and clarity in the fields of science and philosophy has proven all too elusive for researchers and thinkers throughout the generations. How much more so when dealing with spirituality and trying to understand Godliness in the world; an area in which our wisdom and intellect are relatively little consequence.
This being so, we are left with, as it were, many lesser, or better yet, "half truths"; truths which are limited and hence incomplete.
This corruption of the truth manifests itself on a number of levels. Sometimes, the mistakes which people make based on their convictions become very obvious to themselves and anyone else willing to make a minimal effort to find truth. Yet, for others, their distortion of truth centers on what can be a very fine point indeed. Then it is much more difficult to discover the falsehood upon which they've stumbled. Even some of the truely great ones have fallen into this last category. Not because they didn't serve God in every way they could or didn't strive to perceive His truth. And yet, albeit unwittingly, errors in judgement were made which affected law or personal conduct.
This becomes most evident when, because of one person's perception of truth, he feels justified if not outright obligated to chastise and persecute another. Sadly, this need and desire to impress our own perceptions of the truth upon others and at almost any cost, is all too common. For in this world, truth has fallen greatly, so that even the pious, - and even men of great wisdom, have difficulty comprehending the innermost essence of truth.
In other words, because it is so very difficult to reach the innermost essence of truth, what has happened is that the world around us has been filled with numerous personal and partial truths. Even those times when we've honestly sought the truth, we've almost always had to settle for much less than God's truth. Unfortunately, it has been this acceptance of a lessor than complete truth, namely, conflict and strife. What has happened is that because of our inability to see the whole truth, truth itself has become directly responsible for disagreement and dispute between man and his fellow man. We have come to believe that we, and occassionally only we, have sought after and found the real truth. And what's worse is that we've also shown ourselves only too willing and ready to fight for truth -- our truth! Unaware or unwilling to accept our inability to comprehend the absolute truth, we've made personal truths the rule. Blind to our own limited comprehension, we are quick to criticize and oppose each other because we feel that we alone are privy to the real truth.
It is important that we work to realize the fallacy of our own opinions about the truth. Only by doing so will there be any hope of rescuing ourselves from the mistake which comes from a truth which has not been sufficiently refined and purified. Even if for no other benefit from this realization, just being aware of the very limited nature of our own personal truths is still of great value. This alone will save us from the destructive flames of conflict and spare us from controversy, which has the power to uproot those who participate in it from this world and the next.

The fact that you can get every in the morning is a gift from god, (because not everyone does).Every single thing that we have (material or non material) is a blessing. you obviously, can type, so you are blessed with hands(not everyone is)You obviously are not brain dead because you can think. God gives you gifts, even though you don't see them (Or you take them for granted, everyone guilty of that sin) ,but you should never say he doesn't give you anything, because once god really starts taking things away you'll notice how much you had and you'll be begging for it back.

well God is always capitalized. God is a name not a thing. But once you accept Christ as you savior he saves you from eternal damnation. You are dead in sin only when you don't know the Lord. But God is not "old" He has been around forever and He doesn't get a day older, but your choice is your choice and i respect that.
Just think of how depressing your future looks if you don't think that you will live forever and we are just souless creatures wondring around for no greater purpose then to just live and die.

maybe the reason for your not having any good "luck" is maybe because there's no such thing as luck. "luck" is not what keeping you alive and perhaps if you stop waiting on luck to make good things happen for you and believe in something more positive, you may just begin to feel better. besides, have you ever died to even say that death is the only good thing in your life. have you ever considered that when you do die that it might not be your final end.

God has the authority to take life, he's the author and the giver and taker of life. That grew to become into war and the virgins weren't raped. with the help of ways, it grew to become into Moses concept to take the virgins. That grew to become into in basic terms a prior Hebrew custom. God allowed slavery yet that does no longer mean that God authorized of it. God gave human beings freewill to make their very own alternatives the two good and undesirable. God in no way allowed human sacrifice. God would not no longer say that Oh how lovable, you think of you may pretend to choose God. How stupid. definite because of fact the author God does have the authority to take life. No mothers are not allowed to kill their toddlers because of fact they don't have the authority. The virgins did no longer have intercourse with the Hebrews with out having married first. definite yet human beings flow to hell with the help of their very own freewill. God would not deliver them, human beings deliver themselves. the synthetic a mistake yet God did no longer settle for the sacrifice.

jack, one way of looking at this is: what you get out of life is exactly what you put into it.
my friend god is all giving but if your not willing to be open and accept his gifts then you have just shut the door on his goodness, it's no wonder why you don't have any good luck in your life.
look, i'm not going to preach here but if u don't believe and don't accept his love then don't complain!!!

God gave you life. All you have to do is thank Him for it. Worship merely involves being thankful, not asking for things.
