is it okay to pop a boil or should i wait til it drains on its own? its very small, a little smaller than a dime. i heard that if it drains on its own it could spread to other parts of your skin the pus touches. so could i squeeze it now to drain it to avoid it popping and spreading?

You can pop it by using a needle that has been sterilized by either heating it up or using rubbing alcohol. You can also tape a slice of potato to it and it will draw it out. There is an over the counter product called itcthamol that is a drawing salve that will also bring the boil to a head so it can drain. The warm compresses help but that is a slow process.

I LOVE popping blisters. I get a needle and pierce it then squeeze out the clear liquid. I wouldnt recommend this, though, coz u could get an infection if the needle is dirty. I just like to live life on the edge! Bwahaha!!!

Apply hot wet cloths on it for 5 minutes each hour and it will pop itself. It is dangerous to squeeze it yourself because it may break on the inside and then the bacteria my get into your body and make you sick.
