Do you want to lose a friend?
Do you want to risk having future drama with this girl?
That's an unwritten rule, don't ever do it.
I have been there before and it doesn't feel good being in those shoes. I told my friend it was okay knowing that it wasn't. i said it was because i was afraid that she would think i'm jealous and i didnt want her to think i was trying to control her life. She did it, we didn't talk for a year. We finally rekindled but things are still not the same. She won't trust you anymore.
And let me just put it this way 87% cases like this end up with both of the friends without the boy. My friend and him only lasted a month. It was a coincedence you talk about this because my ex that did this came to visit and i was with the girl i rekindled with. We felt awkward with eachother and didn't say one word to him. It has a bigger effect than you think.
Don't do it.
Instead of asking her straight foward I think you should do something hypothetical. (ex: Would ever go with one my exes?) See what she says.

Well, that is a problem. Do you have any decency about yourself? Don't go start a bunch of crap and make yourself look like a little selfish hooker-find a guy somewhere else. Why would you want to hurt your friends' feelings like that?

Go for it, only if you think he's "the one". If he's not. Then pass him up you're only wasting your time, and possibly your friendship. Do you know how your friend feels about him still? Ask her that, "how do you feel about _______" That will probably get you an honest answer.

ask her first about what she thinks about this. if she says yes, then say yes to him. if she says that she doesn't feel comfortable with this, then say no. it might be hard to do this, but you have to.you might find someone else anyway. my fave saying: friends before boys. friends are forever. boys are whatever.

do what i do. say maybe and youll think about it. then go ask your friend permission because even tho she dont own him, you have to respect her feelings. if shes cool, then say yes. if he doesnt want to go out with you if you say maybe then he doesnt truly like you. simple as 1,2,3!

Talk to your friend about it. If she doesn't want you going out with him then, stick by your friend.
