How do I file state taxes for all 3 states. I lived in Michigan until April and then moved to Kentucky and then Indiana at the end of the year. What should I do about filing for all three states?

I would file as a part- year resident in all three states. It sounds like you shared time almost equally between the three. Big pain, I know!

If it's anything like when I moved from Alabama to Tennessee, I filed my federal return normally but then had to file a state return as a non resident for AL. I was considered non res since I worked the majority of that year in TN. Not sure what all states have a state income tax so you would have to check with those states.

For any of those states that have a state income tax, you probably have to file a state tax return as a part-year resident. Check the state websites for more info.
