It depends on where you live. Individual cities and towns make their own laws about this.
Obviously people on farms can keep geese.

I think it depends mostly on where you live. I'm fairly certain that if you live in town, in a sub-division or something like that, I'd say no. Growing up in several locations in Nor-Cal, we had all of our farm-type animals, including geese, but we were always outside of the city limits in rural areas. Hope this helps!

I grew up with several geese in northern CA. Check you local regulations though because some cities don't allow them.

It may depend on zoning, but I live on an acre piece of horse property and we have had geese, chickens, ducks and doves.
