You may want to tell her that she is not dumb but has low self-esteem. Then you may want to help her by suggesting books on how to raise one's self esteem.

She may want to go online and take an assessment test to find out what she likes to do and pursue that by educating herself in that area. This way she can walk in her calling and be all she can be.

Tell her she's not once, but then if she keeps saying it, just don't respond. She might be crying out for attention and compliments, and she's got to realize that only she can make herself feel better by believing those nice things herself.

If she starts saying nice things about herself, agree with her.

Just tell her she's not. When she does things tell her how good she is at it. Ask her to do something for you because she's so much better than you are at it.
