I don't know the answer to that question. What does Exodus 21:7-11 have to do with anything?

Well first, bad attempt at twisting the passage because it does not address the selling but the treatment of people in bondage.

Second under old Hebrew laws (and all cultures at the time) women were property to be used for gain. BUT Christ destroyed those laws with a new covenant.

Why do people try to point out Old Testament actions that are clearly revised by Jesus in the New Testament? Worse why do Christians feel the need to try to defened old covenants when they proclaim to believe in the New Covenant?

anybody and everybody should be ashamed.
but if u look a little further it says "betrothed" meaning married. it also says "be a maidservant, she shall not go out as a menservants do" meaning men are the servants and the women are married in this manner. In exd. 21:10 says that if he should take another wife, that she will still be treated still as a wife (her food, her raiment and her duty of marriage will not diminish).
this type of thing (arranged marriages) goes on today in many countries where the father gives his daughter to a man and the man gives him cattle or something of value as a token to show that this man has the means to take care of his daughter.
just the same doesn't mean the woman has less value, just valued differently (in other counties) and doesn't mean it's right. it's wrong any way you look at it.

YES!!!! That breaks a few of the Ten Commandments and ALL of the New Testiment (it's rules i mean).
Sex is a connection of deep love between husband and wife and should not be done otherwise.
Jesus was sold to the Romans (or whoever it was that killed Him, i can't recall at the moment) by Judas for 12 peices of silver. A human is NOT worth to be sold, it, in a few ways, is similar to murder.

I am SO hoping that you made this up!!!!

The point of the Exodus passage isn't condoning the sale of a daughter, it's about how people are supposed to act when they're already in that situation - if you have a slave (and I have NO idea where you got "sex" slave from), you're supposed to treat her with dignity and respect and provide for her.

Should a Muslim feel ashamed for murdering his daughter for some misguided sense of honor? You all commit this atrocity this very day, in 2007. And all you can come up with is scripture from the old testament. Gheesh you are truly pathetic.

No of course not every one knows a TV is more valuable than a daughter. It's easy enough to get a new daughter TVs are hard to come by.

I would hope that all the ones saying (IT'S NOT), are just joking!!!
NO ONE SHOULD EVEN THINK ABOUT DOING SUCH A THING, Christianity or any other religion, has nothing to do with it. MORALITY, that's what's it about. That is one of the major qualification's lacking with so many humans (especially the younger generation) to much is just a joke in life for them. I find it deplorable any one even asking such a Q.

Any one should be ashamed for thinking of selling their daughter as a sex slave for any reason.
