im 14 and just cuz i yelled at my dad and cussed at him he is going to spank me. how is it that a 14 yr old is sitting in her room waiting to get a spanking. all i did was stay out after school instead of coming home and he yelled at me so i yelled back. im so ready to just run away. my friend said to call the cops. will they actually come?

Last time I checked, 14 was still a child. If you don't want to be spanked, do what you are told. I actually think 14 is too old for a spanking, I would take the credit card and cell phone away.

Don't be jumping the gun and calling the cops unless he really done something to you, No at your age no he should not be spanking you , you are beyond that age but there is other ways to deal with this calling the law in without just cause is just going to have you taken from the home and put in a foster home and your dad will be charged and put in jail, but remember he will get out on bail but you still will not be able to go home, this could really cause a lot of hard feelings within the family.
Really think about this,is this really what you want, could you just be having a teenage fit and just upset, really sit back and think of your actions.
By all means if he is really assaulting you and or hurting you yes call the cops.

your 14, hey a spanking sucks, and if you do not want them you should behave and respect your parents. If you want to after your dad spanks you, like wait while and ask him if he would modify your punishments.
Parents need to spank their children, I think that the united States would be better off, if the next generation was well disciplined.
When I was your age I was spanked. My father was always the one to do it, because I thought that it sucked *** that I had to be bare bottom in front of my dad, so I was a good girl ....

Spankings are not illegal. However, at the age of 14 and you being a girl, your dad shouldn't be the one to do it. Your dad either should punish you with some other method or let your mom do the spanking. Then again, I used to get the straight on the butt spankings - no pants to soften the blow so if that's how your parents spank, then he definitely should let your mom do it instead.

your Dad has every right to spank you. you could call the police and they would prob come but as long as your Dad spanks you and does not beat you they will prob not do anything and you might even get in trouble with the police for having them come down for something like that.. I do believe you are too old for a spanking but t hat is not up to me to decide that is up to your parents

You should have enough respect for your parents not to call the police. It is not illegal to spank a kid in any state of the union and 14 is not too old. I'm sure there is more involved than you are telling us here. If more parents were willing to teach their kids respect well.....I do wish you the best of luck.

if you did something that deserves a spanking than yes! if your dad is just going to spank you and not kick you or give you black eyes than why are you going to punish him for being a parent by calling the PO PO on him!! i think you should apologize to him because you did disrespect him and he is just pumped up on the way you treated him that he wants to go to the belt but if you act like a mature person i am sure he will treat you like one! you know it isn't easy being a parent and when someone you love more than anything in the world (like your own child disrespects you) it hurt More than if you put a gun to his chest and pulled the trigger kids will never understand this until you have your own kids one day and they do you dirty the way you did your parents!!
