I am very depressed and bored with my home improvemt Business?
i am 52 and been doing homeimprovements for a few years. I used to own a printing company and could not wait to get to the shop each morning. the printing is now Dead thanks to the web, So i went into the home improvemt business. I am good at doing the work But God I hate it. I leave the job early each day and dred Mondays. I find it very Boring. I used to be in a Hitech end of the printing Bus and loved eveything about it. Now at 52 who will hire me? I am forced to work in the construction bus and I hate it. What can I do to get the passion back into my work? Help!!!!!!!!!!

Is it possible that you are depressed with being self employed? I am your age and owned a business for over twenty years. Even when I got where I slowed down to the point that I was only going into the office 4 days a week and believed I was only working 30 hours, in fact the business was in my mind 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Last year, I decided I just wasn't the entrepreneurial type. I sold the business and took a "regular" job. My stress level dropped about 98%. I took a huge cut in pay, but I can say it has been worth it.

I don't know if that's what is going on with you, and I'm sure you've already thought that through. Best of luck in whatever you decide to do.
