You answered your own question...He is a boyfriend of three months get very quiet and wish him a great trip and dont bother him or call him while he is gone. Be very excited about things you have going on and busy when you do here from him. Dont seem needy or worried. Just relax act as if you can do with or without. Let him define what is going on not you.

NO! 3 months isn't a long relationship. And if he feels he needs to go alone then be it. It's probably for the best. After a month you'll definitely know if he was worth it.

was this something he was planning on doing before he met you?
do you not trust him?
i personally don't think it's anything to worry about. when you're dating you don't have to do everything together.
