If you someone is Christian, why would he reject the virgin birth? No one can claim true Christian beliefs unless he accepts that Jesus was divine.

There are some that accept the Virgin Birth and some that reject it, I am simply indifferent about it and as such, I don't care to know the reason why some accept the Virgin Birth, and why some reject it...I am in peace with myself.

I accept the Virgin Birth and the Immaculate Conception.
A true Christian cannot reject the Virgin Birth - it is central to the incarnation of Christ which is central to Christianity.
Mary HAD to conceive by the Holy Ghost for Jesus to be truly God and truly man.
And because she conceived this way her virginity was preserved. It's not only biblical...it's logical.

I do not reject the virgin birth, it was prophesied to happen and important to keep out the blood curse of Jechoniah.
What I reject is the immaculate conception--which is different.

No.
The virgin birth is an essential doctrine.
It's like if you convince a kid that 3 plus 3 is five. He'll never succeed in mathematics because his basis is wrong.
If a "Christian" doesn't accept the essential doctrines of Christianity, his basis is off, and he'll never understand the deeper, hidden things of the Bible.
Christians who accept the mud to man theory as their basis will never be solid people of faith. They'll be on shifting sand until they stand on the truth of God's Word.

No. I think alot reject Immaculate Conception though. they get the two confused.
See told you people reject the immaculate conception, although how could she be the Theotokos (God Bearer) unless she was free from all stain of sin. That is what naysayers of the immaculate conception have yet to explain to me.

I want to know who they knew she was a virgin. Did they check her or did they just take her word for it? Believe me, if I was raped by a Roman solider, I would lie too. In fact I did lie about my own rape until a few years ago whenever my husband wanted to know why we haven't made love. I had to tell him the gruesome event and now we are more in love because he knows my fear. I wonder if that happened with Joesph.
