Thoughts on Jeff Burton not moving Kyle Busch out of the way for the win... I know running another driver over to win a race isn't the way it should be done, and I agree. But in this instance, we're talking about BRISTOL. I mean, When your wheeling around half-mile bull ring, and you're faster than the guy infront of you, and passing is almost impossible on the outside.. Why not use your bumper?!

There is no question that Jeff Burton is a class act...but, you are right, bumping is the Bristol way. He, Jeff, might be paying young Mr. Busch (a.k.a. Shrub) back for the Vegas race, but man, I would have bumped that guy for the win.

Rubbin's Racin....right. Especially at Bristol as you pointed out. At most other tracks, you can only drive right up on the bumper and get someone aero loose or draft and slingshot past. Not a Bristol. The only way I see Burton passing is to snuggle up to Kyle's bumper, give him a little love tap, if your faster, and he doesn't move, bump him out the way.

Too bad so sad, I had a faster race car.
Maybe Jeff Burton is just too nice a guy.

Jeff is my favorite driver, and even I think he's too nice sometimes. In 3 of the races already I thought he might possibly have a car to beat and it gets to the end of the race, and he just doesn't want anything to go wrong so he wont race anyone hard(unless he's right behind the leader). Sometimes he'll fall back to 7th or 10th because he doesn't want to wreck or cause a wreck so he moves out of the way. I wish he'd race harder at the end of the day and win some races, but I still agree with him that it's not really a win if you have to get it in a dirty way.

I think Jeff didn't want any post race out of control situation that might have caused fines and points penalties by Nascar. Because he knew how much kyle wanted that win. If he would of give him a fender the *hit would have hit the fan for sure. Plenty of races left and Jeff knows that. Second place for him was good enough that day. Second in points three behind leader. Hes racing for the championship right now boys and girls not race wins. Smart driver. He might just pull it off.

Did you see the Busch race in Vegas where Burton and Buch made contact as Bush crashed into the wall and spun into the infield across the finish line? After the race, both drivers displayed great sportsmanship about the incident. I think there is a mutual respect there.

i think burton is just a clean racer and would rather pass him clean as to knock him out of the way thats just the kinda guy burton is but i agree i would have liked to seen him use the bump and run to win at bristol because thats just how you gotta do it at the worlds fastest half mile and you can be sure if kyle was behind jeff he would have done it to him.

Because Jeff Burton is one of the cleanest racers out there. Plus, he said himself that he owed Kyle one after the Busch race where Kyle finished backward.

Because Jeff Burton had a momentary lapse of judgement or he is just plain stupid. Coming towards the end of the season if he needs those extra points he lost to be in the race for the cup he's gonna also feel stupid!

Well Kyle can be happy that Burton the nice guy got in front of Gordon on that restart because Gordon woulda swept him aside just like he did Rusty a few years ago.

Jeff Burton has a style that resembles Mark Martin neither one of them race like that.
