I hate all religions. I don't really hate all religious people, but I think they are foolish for believing in a god that no one can prove exists. Science can prove more of why miracles happen than what religion can. I have never belived in a god because I need proof to make me believe somthing, and there is no proof that God exists. I fear and despise religion of all forms, and I admire science. Science is the future, not religion. I view religion as hypocrisy. They say they give hope to many people, but they scare more people with their constant Apocalyptic predictions. I remember the fear I felt when I was a kid when I had to listen to all of their trash about how we had to follow all of these rules or else we'd go to hell and that the Apocalpse is near. I think all religion should be abolished, as it is the cause of many of the world's problems, and we'd be better of without it.

Go cry about religion somewhere else. If you hate religion, then go live on an island. Religion will exist everywhere until the end of time.

First, from a Christian perspective anyway, just because a person is "religious" doesn't make them a Christian.
Second, no one is perfect, so no one can follow all the rules anyway, but when you become a Christian, your attitude changes so that you genuinely WANT to follow these rules (you could follow every single rule and you could still go to hell if you don't believe in Jesus as your savior).
Third, there are lots of things people don't believe in that are true. It's likely that you believe that the Holocaust, but there are people who believe it never happened. But, assuming you believe in the Holocaust happened, WHY do you believe the Holocaust happened? It never happened to you, right? You didn't experience it firsthand. You believe it happened because you've read about people that it happened to, and you believe them when they say it happened. In this same respect, people who know and have a relationship with Jesus know He's for real because they've experience Him.
As far as science goes, I'm sure there are a ton of things you believe in that science has "proved," but I bet you've never proven most of them for yourself; you've simply read books and articles and chose to believe that what they said was truth. How is religion any different?

well seems like you know what you want in life and are so sure about the proof of your existence. science seems to satisfy your quest for knowledge..then be happy.you r entitled to hate religion.
unlike u many of us dont accept science as the all knowing data bank.
we need religion as a firm anchor to remind us of our duties to be a kind & good human being.
nobody forces you to believe in a religion.
religion in itself does not spread fear..it is the work of some sadist people.
stop blaming any religion if u can.& be at peace with yourself.you seem to be more agitated in not believing a religion.
i am a doctor .. science is very indispensible to me.i see scientific reason in every action of human kind. but i do know that i do not have the power to give life.if it was so easy we would have been growing from a petri dish.
science & religion go hand in hand .its just matter of realising

Religion is about identifying with people and customs and the basis of teaching right from wrong. We as humans need to be less arrogant than to believe that there isn't anyone to answer to when we do things that hurt others.

People are religious because they realise that there is something out there even bigger and better than science.
