What is the best way to cook them roast,boiled,mashed?

Mangelwurzel:

German for: Mangel = Beet Wurzel = Root

Originally cultivated for livestock which is very good for them.

Now the root is considered very tasty and is boiled and mashed similar to a potato, useful in curries.

I thought it was mangelworzels? Boil and mash, possibly mixed with carrots. Add to a stew, or roast like parsnips.

Ooah oagh. Oi boils & mashes 'em me duck! Then oi mixes 'em wi a bit o' carrot & roasts 'em in the oven.

I would roast them in the oven with a drizzle of olive oil, garlic and thyme and serve them with wurzlesmurzles xxx

Otherwise known as turnips - throw them in a stew, failing that try putting them in the bin!!!!!!!!!
