My husband left chicken breasts out to thaw overnight in the microwave. The chicken smells ok. Is it safe to eat? It's been out of the freezer for about 24 hours....

In the world of professional cooking, where the health inspectors say if you stay open or not, if anything thing is left out over 2 accumulative hours it must be pitched. The safest way to go is remember "when in doubt, throw it out."

Chicken should only be thawed overnight in the fridge. If thawed in a microwave it should be prepared straight after thawing. If unsure rather toss it as chicken is susceptible to salmonella (food poisoning).

Not unless you want food poisoning. It is best to thaw it over night in the refrigerator

NONONONONO

NO.

Not safe. Throw it away. It will be better to waste the few dollars you spent on the chicken that to pay hundreds of dollars in medical expenses when you all get sick.

It may not smell....I don't recommend cooking it. 24hrs is too long for it to sit out.
