It is proven that a physical infinity is impossible, the universe being comprised of material is physical, therefore an infinite regress of the universe is impossible. God, however, is immaterial and is not bound to physical limitations. He is pure action, pure being.
Paraphrasing from William Lane Craig's essay "Philosophic and Scientific pointers to 'Creatio ex Nihilo'", I will illustrate the absurdity of a physical infinity. Imagine an infinite library of books. Suppose that each book of this library was number, allotting every possible number to a book. This would make it impossible to add another book to this library, for every number has already been used. However, this is absurd, we could easily physically tear out one page for each of the first one hundred books, slap a title on it, and voila! We have a new book. Yet this is impossible for we have just added something to infinity.
Or secondly, imagine we were to loan out these books to the public. Suppose we loaned every odd number book. This is an infinite amount of books, yet according to mathematics the subtraction of this infinity has not taken away from the collection of books - there still remains an infinity. Absurd!

Universe means "one-verse" so the question is, who wrote it?
If you think that is absurd, then redefine universe. Is the universe the collection of galaxies within time and space? Time is a concept of human mind. So I'd say the only thing that has no creator, is space. What allows for that space? More space? What about that space? More space? Either way you stumble upon a circular loop. God is the word used to describe the ultimate reality. So if you want to think of the universe as the infinite, you might as well just call it Reality.

1. Because the Universe is not the Creator, it is the "created".
2. Who says He doesn't? And how will healing that person teach him character?
3. Because not everyone wants to go to Heaven. He just gives people what they want.
4. We DO still use the OT. In fact, the NT is nothing without the OT, and vice versa. The only thing that was "nailed to the cross" were the OT ordinances about sacrificing animals (Christ was the last Lamb) and observance of yearly sabbaths (NOT the weekly Sabbath!). The yearly ones all pointed forward to Christ. Once Christ came, they became null and void.
All 10 Commandments are still fully valid, and Christians are still expected to obey them.
Christ said He came to "fulfill" the Law - not "do away" with it. To "fulfill" means to "make true" - not "destroy".

Here's another question along the same lines: If we wonder (assuming God exists) where He came from and how He can exist without having been created Himself, why do we never wonder how matter came to exist if it neither created itself, nor was it created by God?
To simplify the question, either God or Matter, or both, must necessarily be eternal, right? So why is it only the eternal nature of God that's hard to believe?

that's wot eastern religion and buddhist believes... whole universe is like god in christianity. bot, in the bible, it says God will remove universe himself at the end of the day. so, we will see. I think the reason that you can see universe as infinite is because God keeps the whole universe going. thats my belief. and we can read old tastament also. bot, new tastament is more important because, Jesus is wot oldtastament have been told.

The physical universe can grow old and break down. Spirit doesn't have such limitations. I don't mind thumbs down however you cannot offer proof I am wrong either.
