I submit that nowhere in the bible does it say the purpose of creating a woman was to make a wife for man!

It doesn't actually say when she was created that she was to be his wife but in Genesis 2:18 it says: The Lord God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him" now after Eve is created out of Adams rib in Genesis 2:23&24 "The man said, this is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh she shall be called woman for she was taken out of man. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his WIFE and they will become one flesh.
So basically when Eve was created God didn't actually call her Adam's wife right out but when he explains why Eve was created from Adam it says that they will be united as husband and wife. Hope that answers your question good enough.

Genesis 2
18 The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."
19 Now the LORD God had formed out of the ground all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the air. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air and all the beasts of the field.
But for Adam [h] no suitable helper was found. 21 So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs [i] and closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib [j] he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
23 The man said,
"This is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called 'woman, [k] '
for she was taken out of man."
24 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.
Yes God wanted them to be husband and wife if he did not he would have done otherwise.

Genesis 2:21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man.
The man said,"This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh, she shall be called woman for she was taken out of man."

For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united with his wife and they will become one flesh.
(Gen. 2:22-24)

Read the Bible.

It grew to become into consumer-friendly prepare interior the classic close to east for rulers to erect statues of themselves on the borders of their domain names. those have been called "photos" and represented the ruler's authority and dominion. it extremely is the standard concept at the back of the imago dei in Genesis. Humankind grew to become into to be a actual representation of God's dominion and authority in the previous the the remainder of creation. of course, we wanted specific attributes-- shared with God-- to accomplish this function. maximum individuals view comparable to God as this determination of features, will, emotion, mind, non secular nature, etc. because of fact the image. yet those are certainly secondary. we don't bodily "look like" God. that thoroughly misses the element. peace
