I didnt like it at all. I hate hate hate hate these new cars. They ant made to hit the wall at all. Did u see D.J hit the wall. With the old car he would have been able to get back in the race. all those tire problems are bing cause by the front of the cars. Nascar better look hard at doing somthing about that. I hope these new cars fall to the waste side because i hate them i could even watch the whole race and that is the first time since i started watching nascar 16 years ago.

From a distance the cars look like trucks.

Hopefully Nascar will rename this the C.O.Y car of yesterday. For 50 plus years they ran cars with a spoiler and a front air dam, now the cars are getting "too fast" so we throw out the car and make this an IROC series. Let the teams build cars based on their manufacturers model that go as fast as they can, if Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson, or Kasey Kahne think they can make turn 3 at Daytona going 220mph let them try! They will only get 1 or 2 chances. Make the drivers DRIVE the car!!!! Hold it to the floor and turn left is not racing. Make the drivers do something after all they raced at Daytona in 1970 with a 426 Hemi Superbird going 201mph on red line tires, the same tires that you bought on the car at the dealership! Nascar has their heart in the right place but to make the cars safer/slow them down by giving us a cookie cutter car is not right. Limit the displacement of the engine or mandate a 6 cylindar engine, raise the spoiler height and limit the spoiler angle. There are a ton of things that could be done to slow these cars down making them safer and still allow the teams to work on the car. C.O.T. is the second worst thing Nascar has done in the last 25 years! What is the worst you ask? Restrictor plates!

I watched part of it and the cars are way too bulky now. They don't move good in turns and are hard to adjust. I think it will be harder to run 2 wide and 3 wide at some tracks with this new car. I think NASCAR should work on perfecting the old car instead of bringing in this new car. This new car is just NASCAR's way of saying we want more people to compete for wins. The problem is the amount of money each owner has. I think NASCAR has had a lot of changes over the past 6 years and some of them needed. The two changes I do not like this year are the COT and Busch racing on ESPN 2. These changes are not ways to attract new fans, instead it will repel fans.

I agree 110% with you buddy. I thought this race was a complete waste of time. Any little damage to the car and of to the garage it went. Sorensons car???? Are you kidding me!! Unless I missed a mech. problem it was out of the race with not very much damage. And then the idiots of nascar say you cant go back on the track without the wing. Are they for real? Most of the cars at the super speedways will be heading home early in this case. Don't feel bad because I fell asleep during it too and that's a first. I think nascar will start losing fans in a big way with 1. The COT 2. Too many commercials for the TV audience and 3.Certain sponsors dictating what other sponsor are allow to be put on cars. and also pushing for a foreign audience and forgetting the die hard fans that have seen the sport grow and got it as big as it is.
And to the fans that say just deal with it we have no choice. Yes we do and that's to turn off the TV and not follow it anymore. Get enough to do that and nascar will fold. Sponsors wont make agreements if their is no fan base to view their products. This will bring nascar to its knees. thanks for letting me vent. See ya

I like it. I like the fact that the engineers are not going to have as big a say in how the car performs than the mechanic does. It will be cheaper in the long run for the smaller teams to be competitive, and I believe that competitive changes will happen when problems arise to make the COT much more fun to watch. I know a lot of fans don't like it, but I think it should be given a chance. Nascar has changed the body of the cars before and their were a lot of the same arguments going around then. Hopefully we'll like the racing as much when everyone gets used to the COT.

I think they picked the wrong tracks to debut a car that no one has anytime behind the wheel. How are you suppose to figure out how the new design of the car is going to work when you are on a track that you know you are going to get damage. No matter what you do. They should have waited until the teams, pit crews and drivers had a least one race on a larger track with 43 other guys to see how they were going to handle traffic and damage before putting them on the smallest and roughest track on the circuit.

i think you may be right about the tires and i also think since these cars are to make things safer for the drivers why cant they adjust some of the things from the COT like putting the driver more in the center of the car to the old style cars to keep the look and handle of the older cars for the drivers

Alright! Another way the rich teams can dominate Nascar. Hendricks and Gibbs get to runaway with the Series again!

I thought it was pretty good only because my favorite driver won. GO KYLE BUSCH! i dont think the cars are that bad, but the older cars are better. We just have to get use to it just like we got use to it a long time ago when they changed the car. you wont even notice it next year plus these cars are suppose to be faster on the bigger tracks. the only thing i dont like is the splitter. Its stupid.

I like them. It makes the field a little more even as far as car bodies go. One more step to letting driver talent make the difference. Safer to. Just like anything else that's new, the bugs have to be worked out.
