I've heard that odd questions are asked on the police polygraph test. I've heard that one of the questions is have you ever had any sexual contact with an animal? Is this true? Did any of you have this question come up? I'm worried because I did have an incident with an animal and some peanut butter once when I was 16 or 17. I am ashamed .

Maybe they just ask the question in the pre-polygraph booklet, but no in the actual questioning? So if they ask it in the prequestioning it may just be a bluff; therefore, I should probably answer,no?

The way the polygraph works is the examiner will ask you the questions he will during the exam prior to it. If there are further explanations to your answer, you and the examiner will talk about that before hand. Once you have gone through the questions and answers, you will be hooked to the polygraph, which will measure your respiration's, galvanic skin response and pulse. The best policy is to be honest. I have been subjected to the polygraph exam for employment purposes, and have never had such a question asked.

I have had a polygraph test in the past and I have never been asked about animals or peanut butter. I haven't had one in years but why would you even think that they would ask something like that? Did the animal tell you that just to freak you out?

You only need to be worried if they polygraph the animal also.

here's my advice: find the animal, and have her (him? blech!) over for dinner. And then leftovers the next day.

No they do not ask "odd" questions, and no they don't ask about sex with animals.

They will ask you to say no to a list of questions, some will be true, like your name and other things, to get a bearing, then yes to questions where they ar true,

But no there are no strange questions

some do its a question to tell if the thing is working since smart people can lie and pass easily the most common one to get a reaction is IF YOU THOUGHT YOU COULD LIE ON THIS TEST AND GET AWAY WITH IT WOULD YOU? THEY ARE BOUND BY LAW TO TELL YOU THE QUESTIONS FIRST BUT ALWAYS THROW IN ONE OF THESE TO TEST THE EQUIPMENT
