i had just one slice as there was nothing else being served and I didnt want to look bad by not eating anything

Haram of course,you know, if you had told them that you are Muslim and that it is forbidden to eat this food they would have respected you.

actually my friend there are alot of aspects to consider in this case, and as i live in australia i got really interested in this particular issue, ofcourse the rule is to avoid all haram meat, but in cases of urgency, some exceptions are made, and one of these exceptions that if u were invited to eat with non muslims (basically u should tell them in advance that u dont eat their meat, if not possible, u try to avoid eating the courses that have meat in it) if eating haram meat seemed unavoidable to u, and it would cause SEVERE embaressement to ur host (not u), then u have a liscence to eat but ofcourse u should say (bismillah- in the name of Allah) b4 u do, and ur intention is what really matters in this case, that u dont want to cause friction or an emotional damage to ur host!
but im sorry to tell u that in ur case u didnt have the right intention, u ate to save ur face, but again im sure God will forgive u if ur really sincere in ur repentance, He is indeed The Superbly Relenting, which means that He ALWAYS accepts apologies and never rejects them!
and again God knows better!

If there was nothing else to eat, there is no blame on you, You should have picked off the pepperoni & sausage, though..... just ask forgiveness, I don't think Allah will send you to hellfire for this, it's not like you committed shirk. Everyone sins to some degree at some time in their life, that's why we need to constantly repent and ask forgiveness and mercy .

Its what keeps me from consuming Haram!
Repent and never do it again!!

It doesn't matter what you look like, ALLAH, is more important than the way you look. But, it too late for that so ask for forgiveness and don''t do it again.
