why can we buy pork chop's and lamb chop's but not beef chop's?

You can buy a beef chop any time you like. Ask your butcher for a rib of beef. No problem.

Think about the difference in size between the animals you mention and a cow. That may assist you in this grave matter..

A beef chop is a T-bone steak.

Yes you can, it's just that they are not called chops, but amounts to the same thing. Like entrecôte, Rib eye steak, T-bone, etc. meat with bone in it.

You do - T bone if there's just one (though - strictly speaking that's the equivalent of a double, or barnsley, lamb chop) - and when there's several together then that's a rib of beef.

chops are a cut from the rib cage in theory you could go to the butcher and get him to take one slice with rib in from a rib of beef and you'd have a beef chop.However it would take ages to fry and would be best cooked in the oven.

Because the "loin" part that makes chops is usually sold as several different steaks.

errrrrr try looking at the size of rib o beef, then perhaps that might answer your question......they are rather big animals in comparison to a lamb & a pig ya know LOL

Nearest thing as far as cost is concerned is a "rib eye" but it contains no bone, technically you would need to ask your butcher to cut one rib from a fore rib if you needed the bone but this would be huge & expensive

you can by t-bone steak which is similar, just ask the butcher to cut the slices thinner
