Anyone that says God preys on us, fails to recognize what is really going on. I don't think for example that God drinks and drives.
Otherwise, assign blame where it lays, don't attribute it to things which you have obviously no knowledge of anyways.

Amen brother.oops, bad choice of words. The world will suffer and intelligence will suffer as long as these outdated beliefs are still around. When enough people realize the truth and ban religion, once and for all, we will start to make headway.
I think the best way to start, if it was possible, would be to make it a crime for parents to try and push their religion unto their children. When the child is of age , introduce them to all the different religions. Then, after their done laughing at their parents for actually believing that crap, progress will happen.

It's obvious that you're not aware of the over all turning away from the one true faith that began with the movement to unite all churches into managable groups by dividing and conquering the body of Christ which was what upheld what peace there was in this world and kept chaos and anarchy at bay. What you are suggesting, the world has lived through many times. Learn from history or repeat it. But then, if you find it more amusing to blame Christians, then, by all means be on the losing side, if you must.

Asking God to "appear" to us is like a bunch of amoebas demanding that these supposed "humans" make an appearance. Meanwhile, we're standing right there saying, "Hey, amoebas, we're over here!"
Our intellects and senses wouldn't begin to be able to grasp the immensity of the being of the God who put into motion the countless physical processes that led to the evolution of a universe.
But if we could BECOME an amoeba, just for a little while, then we could interact with the amoebas and give them the scoop.
I consider myself a liberal Christian, but I do believe in Jesus. The guy did nothing but preach selflessness and peace and love for God and each other, and then he lived it, and then he died, and then a bunch of his apostles went to their deaths because they were convinced they saw him rise from the dead. They couldn't all be nuts.
And now we have a bunch of modern-day Pharisees turning everyone away from the true message of Jesus.

I do not think that Yahoo! Answers is the best medium to have your concerns addressed. I too can see the frustration that arises in the bickering between religions. It is as if (false) religions do more harm to God's plan than non believers do.
If you are serious about understanding more I hope you don't miss out or ignore the opportunity to learn more if it comes to you.

You what's odd to me? That Atheists don't believe in God yet they are so bent on trying to prove he doesn't exsist. If God doesn't exist why do you care if people do believe in Him? Also why do you want to take God out of everything like schools and the government when you think he doesn't exist. If he doesn't exist then why take a non exsistent being out of schools and government? Also Atheists are the most angriest group of people I have ever come across...they so don't want to believe in God so much it makes them mad...kind of interesting to me

No. They will not and he will not. If you are tried of fighting then read the book and you will know what he will and won't do.
If we had a mind to bend you to belief through force Jehovah's' would knock your asss out instead of knock on your door.
Be intelligent and be civil.

the appearance of something that does'nt exist,
is a godly impossibility, unfortunately.
If he could,...... he would.
but he cant,...... so he wont
and he has'nt,...... so he did'nt
so the chances of his materialisation being,..... just around the corner,
appears most unlikely,... at the moment.
