I was watching that show on FoodTV called "Every Day Italian With Giada DeLaurentis" and she made some noodle dish in a pan that she was able to cut into slices and eat like one would eat a piece of pizza. I am not sure what it was called, but I would love the recipie for it. Anyone have it? And yes, I did a search on www.foodtv.com to no avail. So any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hmm this isn't like a pie persay, because there isn't crust and filling etc. It's more of a noodle bake or something.

Not sure if this is the same one, but here's one recipe for noodle pie:
Unbaked pastry for a 2 crust Pie
1/2 cup Milk
2 cup Cooked flat noodles
1 cup Minced baked OR Boiled ham
1 tbl Butter cut into slivers
3 tbl Sour cream
3 tbl Minced onion
Instructions: Line a 9 inch pie pan with pastry. Refrigerate until well chilled. Chill pastry for the top crust. Heat milk (do not allow to boil) and pour over noodles in large bowl. Let noodles soak for 2 or 3 minutes, then place in a colander and drain off the milk. Line the chilled pastry in the pie pan with 1/3 of the drained noodles. Cover with 1/3 of the ham. Dot with 1 tsp. of the butter slivers. Add 1 tbsp. sour cream, 1 tbsp. minced onion and a generous sprinkling of pepper. Repeat the layers twice. Cover with pastry dough and seal the edges. Prick the surface several times with a fork. Place in a preheated 400F oven and bake 10 minutes; reduce heat to 325F and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is a light golden brown. May be served hot or cold.
Serves: 8 as an
appetizer, 4 as an entree.

Italian Baked Chicken and Pastina
Recipe courtesy Giada De Laurentiis
1 cup pastina pasta (or any small pasta)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup cubed chicken breast (1-inch cubes)
1/2 cup diced onion (about 1/2 a small onion)
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes with juice
1 cup shredded mozzarella
1/4 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
1 tablespoon butter, plus more for buttering the baking dish
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Bring a medium pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Add the pasta and cook until just tender, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes. Drain pasta into a large mixing bowl.
Meanwhile, put the olive oil in a medium saute pan over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 3 minutes. Add the onions and garlic, stirring to combine, and cook until the onions are soft and the chicken is cooked through, about 5 minutes more. Put the chicken mixture into the bowl with the cooked pasta. Add the canned tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine. Place the mixture in a buttered 8 by 8 by 2-inch baking dish. In a small bowl mix together the bread crumbs and the Parmesan cheese. Sprinkle over the top of the pasta mixture. Dot the top with small bits of butter. Bake until the top is golden brown, about 30 minutes.

Go to www.foodnetwork.com and look up Giada's recipe for that, the links to her show and recipes are there. I make a spaghetti pie that is nothing but cooked pasta, eggs, parmesan, mozzarella, and spices. After it is baked you top it with meat sauce, meatballs, or whatever. I believe it was a Kraft food recipe.
