It sounds like this guy is afraid to ask you out, but has more courage texting you to trying to get to know you better. So next time he sends you a text message, why not reply by saying you would rather talk then text.

maybe he thinks hes flirting big time and is waiting for a positive response from you before he moves foreword. I tried to get a girl that way once. I thought i was laying it on pretty thick, but she didn't even notice (she though i was just being friendly) I guess what men and women think are flirting can differ sometimes. Now your not sure what his intentions are, and he probably thinks you dint like him. Story of my life.

I wouldn't know, I actually TALK to people. I don't text them. Texting is impersonal and for people without any social skills.
