First of all, if the guy is telling you that a lot of people love him, he has probably noticed your affection and is trying to play it down. In other words he's trying to sideline you without hurting your feelings. Either he isn't interested or he's not ready to commit. If you like him, and want to be patient and see if he comes around, that's fine, but don't count on being anything more than friends. Don't try to use sex to try and trap him... the only thing that will get you is a broken heart when he uses you and discards you (if he falls for it at all). Keep your integrity, and you'll be somebody worth pursuing when he's ready. Stop concentrating on him, and instead concentrate on being the best and most interesting person that you can be... that way the guys will be falling over each other trying to be with you, instead of you sitting around pining for a guy who's not really interested.

I don't think I would like a guy that says a lot of people love him, even if its true. It's kind of a turn off.
