Salt
1 package lasagna noodles
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon dried oregano
2 cans tomato soup
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
Nonstick cooking spray
2 cups cottage cheese (small curd)
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add salt. Boil noodles according to package directions. Drain and arrange in casserole (see below).
While noodles are boiling, brown beef in a large frying pan over medium-high heat, adding chopped onion, garlic and oregano to meat as it cooks. When meat has browned, drain off fat and then add tomato soup and apple cider vinegar. Simmer for 20 minutes.
Preheat oven for 350 degrees F.
Spray a medium casserole dish with a nonstick cooking spray. Lay noodles lengthwise across bottom of casserole dish. Spread a layer of cottage cheese over top of noodles. Add a layer of meat mixture, then cover with mozzarella cheese and repeat for a total of 3 layers. Finish with a layer of cheese and bake for 30 minutes or until bubbling. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes before cutting and serving.

YUMMY, this is our all time favorite. Everyone that has come to a special dinner at our house gets this, and can't wait to come back and have more. I have given this recipe out so many times I can't count. It's yummy and easy. And to tell the truth, I have substituted boxed mashed potatoes when in a pinch. I usually do a pork or beef tenderloin with this and a good salad! Good Luck with your meal!!!!
Perogie Casserole
8 lasagna noodles cooked well
3/4 lb. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
10 medium potatoes peeled, sliced and cooked until soft
1/2 stick margarine
3 medium sweet onions sliced 1/4 inch thick.
Saute onions in butter and set aside.
Cook noodles and set aside.
Boil potatoes, mash, then add cheese while hot.
IN a 9x13 inch baking pan, spray with non stick spray. Layer as follows:
4 noodles to cover bottom
1/2 the potatoes
1/2 the butter/onions mixture
Repeat ending with butter/onions covering the top completely. Cover with foil and bake in a 350
oven for 40 minutes.

Why is this addressed to Girls? Men can be good cooks too. Anyway here is the recipe I use to impress just about anybody.
Fettuccine Alfredo:
One package of fettuccine, cooked and drained.
One pint of whipping cream.
About 8 oz of Parmesan cheese.
About 1 teaspoon of nutmeg.
Dash of pepper.
Dash of salt.
1 - 2 cloves of minced garlic
About half a cup to one cup unsalted butter softened.
In a large serving bowl toss together fettuccine, cream, butter, and Parmesan. In a small pan saute the minced garlic in some olive oil, when the garlic is warm and beginning to turn brown add it to the bowl of fettuccine and toss. Finish with pepper and salt to taste.
Serve with warm bread, wine, and green salad tossed w/ Italian dressing. For desert serve small dishes of gelato or tiramisu with an after dinner espresso.

Serve with a Cesear salad and you are all set! Don't be intimidated by the long recipe, it's really quite simple, just a lot of steps. Good luck to you!

I'd go for spaghetti and meatballs or maybe baked chicken with the trimmings. Don't try something wacky or too spicy. Make a salad and maybe fresh fruit for afterwards...elegant and not stuffy. Good luck!

Start off with wine and finger foods like crackers and cheese. Then keep pouring the wine while your spaghetti with lots of VODKA sauce is simmering, serve it while they're looped and everything will be fabulous.
