That's how the so-called loving god is said to be acting. If don't want to be with him he gets angry and threatens me with eternal punishment. It's weird for a loving god!

You surely jest. this is not just what God does. Yes, He does tell us why we must accept Him, so He can rid the world of sin. If He didnt eventually do that, it would be like this in Heaven, like it is now. so heaven wouldnt be heaven for long, huh?
God is loving and gives us a jillion chances, and He is not quick to send soeone to hell. SOmeone chooses that for themselves by refusing to stop sinning and hurting themselves andothers. Noone has a right to do that.
and Jesus isnt just anybody. Jesus is God.
and He weeps over every single lost one.
But, you deceide your own fate, by telling God which one you serve. Either Him or its the devil.
Dont compare God and His wonderous plan to the pppl on this earth, that are trying to control. God isnt trying to control you. He gives free choice, but He will end sin, whether you like it ornot. And no you wont burn forever, You will burn till your forever is up, when you are burned up to ashes. Bible tells us this too. Dont believe all you hear, read it for yourelf.

If God holds the gate of heaven open for you and you refuse to enter (despite how long He sits there with the gate open) then I'd say you are d*mning yourself to an eternity of torture.

It is not about that. It is about believing in Him. Trusting in Him.
This question is as played out as Pascals Wager. All you have to do is not reject him. Plain and simple. Humble yourself just a little to take into consideration there is something bigger than you. Bigger than you can comprehend.

Every creation has a creator. You can't deny that can you?

no. you have free will so you can choose. what ever choice you make you live with. all it takes to end this "torture" is to choose a different way. what is true on earth will hold true in "heaven". dogmatic law...........

If you're dumb enough to reject God that many times, He might just have pity on you and decide that you're not smart enough to have been able to make decisions for yourself.

I would not bet my eternal destiny on it, however.
