ok um there's this guy that i like alot and my friend WAS going out with him even though i liked him before i knew she was going out with him.... well everybody says that i should just go up to him and tell him i like him. (i dont know him my friend was just going out with him) what shuld i do?

You should talk to your friend about him. Don't just ask her if it's ok if you talk to him or go out with him. Find out what he likes, how he treated her, why they didn't work out. Then tell her you kinda like him and would like to get to know him better. If she has issues with you going out with him listen to her concerns and really consider them. She does know this guy better and some time what looks good isn't very good for you.
You can still do what you want, no matter what she says, but she is your friend and if she ask you not to date him she will feel betrayed and no one will blame her for not liking you very much for it.
Chances are she won't care. She probably would have told you if he was horrible and she hates him. People date looking for the one, and to have fun. Just because he wasn't the one for her doesn't mean he isn't right for you and hopefully she'll see that not care..

Depends how good of a friend she is...would you rather have him or your friend? The general rule is that you shouldn't date or even like guys that your friends ever liked/dated/were interested in. That's the rule. So, if you go up to that guy, you should at least check with your friend first; or you prepare to have a fight with her. So, if she OKs it, then just go for it. If she's not that good of a friend, just go for it...so basically, I'm saying, despite the rule, you should ask him out if you like him.

How much do you value your friends friendship? do you think she might be mad or hurt? did she break off with him or did he break off with her? if he did she would probably feel bad if you go out with him. I don't know your age probably young teens. why not ask one of his friends if he likes you? that is about the easiest way to go about it other than smiling at him he might get the idea then. I think you would be really embarrassed if you went up and asked him and he said no wouldn't you?

Um well if you don t know him how do you know you like him..and um do you really want sloppy seconds from your friend? Find a new guy.

Don't go out with someone your friend's already dated. Think about it: Would you kiss your friend in the mouth? Exactly. You might be young - but when you're older, you'll understand why I say don't do it.

I think that you should go up to him and tell him, or let your friend know first. What ever makes you feel comfortable.

ask ur friend about him, what he likes, how he acts, ec. once you no more about him, u can start a conversation and tell him that u like him. i hope that u try it!
