Most minerals will survive being thrown into lava. A few minerals with a lower boiling point may melt such as gypsum and talc, but all quartz and feldspars had a high enough melting poing to survive.

If the temperature of the lava is high enough and the mineral is left in there long enough, no mineral "can survive". Minerals having the best chance of remaining minerals are olivines, followed by pyroxenes and calcium plagioclase feldspars. And just to clear up some misconception on the part of Dealersc..., titanium is not a mineral it is an element.

Titanium should survive in lava.

Here is the trick...Find the melting point of lava and find the melting point of minerals with higher melting points. Those with higher melting points will "survive" being thrown in lava?

I thought that there were minerals in lava.
