Theres nothing wrong with a nose ring. In he O.T. when God told them not to peirce themselves it was because all the other tribe around at that time would do that to themselves in order to show theiur devotion to their pagan gods. God was telling them not to be like them..

Not to mention a nose peircing nowadays is very safe... your not just like stabbing yourself with a knife or anything...

Jesus said, "Love the Lord thy God w/all your body soul and stength...and love your neighbor as yourself... on these two things hangs all the law."

There's a verse in the Bible saying we aren't supposed to pierce or mark our bodies, but it's frequently taken out of context. It was written because at the time, people showed their devotion to Pagan gods by tattooing their bodies and cutting themselves, God wanted his people to set themselves apart by behaving differently. Most people don't know the context.

Other Christians think it is because it draws attention to your outward appearance, and they don't believe someone can be truly humble and have an interest in "alternative" forms of accessorizing.

However - nose rings were born in the bible, too. There's a story (sorry I can't remember names) about a man who sends his servant to another city to bring back a bride from that tribe. The story where the woman offers to give water to the man and his camels. One of the gifts the woman receives from the servant on behalf of the man is a NOSE RING.

Wear your nose ring with pride. Don't make a big deal about it, and if you're going into a situation where you know someone will be uncomfortable with it, you should take it out while you're around them. (Another biblical thing, if a person believes something is wrong you are to refrain from doing it around them so as not to drag them down.)

Because of the verses that talk about cutting and tattoos and view holes, in the ears or nose the same way. As well as your body being a temple of the Lord. I don't think it's wrong, but I don't find it attractive. So it's not something I would do.

Because they're not comfortable dealing with anything outside of their preconceived notion of how things are supposed to be.

One of the most genuine Christian guys I ever met was a youth pastor who had tongue, ear, lip, AND nose piercings (I didn't ask him if he had more). He had a bang-up ministry with the kids he was working with, and since the kids and his overseeing pastor didn't have a problem with the piercings, then it certainly wasn't MY job to get in his face about it!

Besides, I thought his piercings were cool. And I find an eyebrow or a nostril piercing on a girl to be kinda cute. Go for it!! :-)

I had a tounge ring, and an Eyebrow ring and I love Jesus with everything with in.

To many people think life is about live by some UN-WRITTEN code and it's not. Prasie God, obey him and you'll be blessed nose ring or no nose ring.

Keep fighting the good fight.

That's totally up to you. Don't worry about what anyone else thinks. You can choose what you do to your body and if it fits..then don't feel bad. I'd say that some people get tattoos/piercings as a type of self-mutilation and it can go with self-harm. But if you did it and respect yourself...does it really matter? I don't think so. Cheers!

"Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you"? Your body is considered a temple which is to be sanctified and holy. This is what God wants for you, never mind what anyone else thinks or how they feel. I would encourage you to seek God through his Word about this. God bless you sister. Keep walking with Christ.

They're bored. They need to find something productive to do, like maybe working to help starving children, or fighting to help end the genocide in Darfur.
People really need to get their priorities straight. They fuss over the stupidest things, and completely ignore important things.

the bible says you shouldn't pierce or ruin your body. I know some christians with tattoos and nose rings and it's disturbing they would preach to others yet not follow their bible and word of god. THAT includes earrings.
