my usb flash drive pooped out on me!! wat do i do???

when i tried to store something at school today my flas drive did not work!! it did just fine the day before when i was saving some pictures. there is no light coming from the end nor did the computer pick up the device. it is a sandisk cruzer micro 2 gig. i only put it in the washer 2 times and it worked fine after every time. i didn't drop it at all before it happened. HELP!!

did you take it home and plug it back into your computer? it is possable it may not be compatable with there systems!
