I have long, straight, dirty blonde hair and would like to put a purple streak in it just for fun. Now, I'm a pretty serious student and most people see me as a good little smart girl, so I think it'd be good for breaking stereotypes. It won't be permanent and my mom thinks its a great idea. I was wondering if you all think it'd be a good idea or just stupid?

i think it's more stupid than a good idea. i think that you could break stereotypes in other ways. maybe you could get a new fun haircut, or get a couple crazy outfits or pieces. i just think there are better ways to "break" stereotypes than to give yourself a purple streak.

Depending on your personality, I think its a cool idea. I've seen people put 2 streaks in their hair where the hair splits when its parted down the middle, near the face area. Looks awesome!

i think u should but get more than one streak. If u only got one then u would look like u were trying to be cool.

Yea that would be totaly cool. It would probaly look really nice. Just don't get the cheap kind or your hair might fall out. ;) Have fun and cool mom, mine would never let me do that. Rock on. Peace.

I think you should do it.
you seem to like the funk of the change and as long as your mom is behind you it should be alright.
this way you can see how many people stereotype you or are actually enjoying you for you.

Yep sounds cool,but your own hair would be best if it was pre.lightened,so you would get a good base for it,or you could try a clip in extension to see how it looks.

i think you should do it. i have black hair and when i was in 5th grade i put bright red streaks in my hair and all of my friends, even my teacher liked it! so take a risk!
