Here is your real answer:

In Luke 23:42 Jesus assures the thief "verily i say unto you, today you will with me in paradise...

Three ( 3 ) days later Jesus arises- and Mary is about to hug him.. but he warns in John 20:17..." Dont touch me for i have yet ( have not yet ) gone to heaven..

OK so he tells the theif we're going today!
but 3 days later he tells Mary " i aint been there yet ?

Was it a lie to mary or the thief ?

THE TRUE ANSWER IS:
IN Punctuation...remember, the Bible was translated by King James. GOD gave the word...to prophets.. King James inserted punctuation ( commas' periods" etc )

So instead of " verily i say to you., today you will be with me in paradise, { as in -today.-well go there }
the scripture punctuation should be:
-
:verily i say unto you today, you will be with me in paradise:
{ as in -today im talking- as we speak now, you'll eventually be there with me |

He didn't lie to Mary or the Thief .

Any Different take on it ?

We really don't know. The whole cross story was written decades after he died, if he existed at all. We really know nothing about the life of Jesus, outside of the old stories made up about him decades later.

In any case, if he existed, he's dead now. The stuff about Heaven and Hell are pure superstition.

There is another part to this story, don't forget the Trinity or the Godhead. There is the three: God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit but they are also the One so Jesus could have been referring to God. Another take on asking Mary to not touch him has to do with the fact that he had just left the tomb. I am not sure why he could not be physically touched at that time but when we are resurrected I am sure we will know.

The thief was in heaven . Jesus was going to heaven with his blood as an offering for the sins of the believers he died for. Jesus was perfect and pure and mary was a sinner ( unpure ) that is why she could not touch him being with sin.

You should read 'Misquoting Jesus'. The author learned both Greek and Hebrew and even memorized the Greek version of Mark.

Sounds good to me. Especially since Jesus doesn't lie.
