you want to wash it once a day- unless you have a really sensitive scalp. if you have a super sensitive scalp you may want to go every other day. you should let your hair air-dry just to prevent damage. then i'd keep the straightening and curling to a minimum to prevent damage as well. go to the pharmacy and look for products to help prevent dandruff, give your hair more moisture, give your hair more color, give your hair more curl, whatever you want from it! also, trim it about every 2 months. that will help prevent deadends.

What you should do is wash your hair every other day. Unless you have an oily scalp. In that case wash it everyday. Only use a small amount of conditioner. Too much weighs down the hair and makes it look flat. Spread it through hair as much as possible and leave on for about a minute and rinse. Now when Im done doing that I usually let my hair air dry, but if you must blow dry it, set the heat settings low because heat damages hair. They also make blowdryers that give out good ions. Thatll make your hair not so dry. I try not to put anything in my hair, such as hairspray, gel, and products like that.

shampo and condition your hair everyother day if you have dry hair everyday if you have oily (dont use Pantene they say it makes your hair healthier and it does look healthier but all it is really doing is coating your hair in wax and hurting it more) stay away from coloring, hair products, and heat such as curling, straitning, blow drying etc as much as you can and your hair will be healthy and shiny
