Pizza Base
Ingredients Flour 300 gr.
Yeast 20 gr.
Water 250 ml
Extra-virgin olive oil 2 tablespoons
Salt a pinch
For the topping
The Margherita pizza:
Tomato 200 gr.
Mozzarella cheese 200 gr.
Oil 2 tablespoons
Basil a sprig
Salt as required
Preparation Sieve the flour into a wide bowl; add the yeast cut into small pieces and warm water, a little at a time.
Mix everything well then add the oil and salt. Mix well until you have a smooth uniform dough. Form a ball and make a cross shaped cut on the top and put it into a wide bowl covered with a clean cloth and let it rise until it's double the size.
Then roll out the dough to the size of a pizza pie dish which you have preiviously greased. Let it bake in the oven for half and hour at the maximum temperature of your oven.
For the topping: Let the water out of the tomatoes and arrange them over the basic pizza. Then cut the cheese into small pieces and place them at a couple of centimeters from each other. Pour the oil over sparingly, arrange a few pieces of basil and spray with salt. Put into the oven for 5 minutes.

I was raised in Boston. The place that we bought pizza had the best crust that I ever tasted.
I do cook! And I experiment with crusts all the time. It never really comes out with the right taste.
In California, we have Round Table Pizza. They do make a good crust.
One day, go to Round Table and ask the Manager that you want to buy just the ready-made dough.
You will get a bunch for about $2.00 (US).
That's is what I do...what you don't use you can freeze.
They do make an excellent (dough) for their crust.
The good thing is that you won't have a mess with flour, rolling, etc.
Good Luck!
Bob P.
Oops...it's best that you don't tell them you want it for pizza...just tell them you want to make a dessert or something.

* 1 envelope active dry yeast
* 1 cup warm water
* 1/2 teaspoon sugar
* 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
* 1 teaspoon salt
PREPARATION:
Put warm water in a cup; sprinkle yeast over water and stir in sugar. Let yeast stand for about 10 minutes, or until it begins to bubble.
Sift flour and salt into a large bowl; pour in yeast mixture and beat until a stiff dough is formed.
Turn dough out onto a floured surface; knead about 5 minutes, or until smooth and elastic. Add extra flour as necessary to keep from sticking to hands and board.
Place in a large bowl greased with shortening; turn dough over to coat the other side with shortening. Cover with towel; let rise in a warm place, away from drafts, for about 30 minutes. Dough will be double in bulk. Punch dough down and divide in half. Grease two 14-inch pizza pans and grease hands lightly. Place half the dough in each pan and stretch to fit bottom and up sides of pan. Keep dough slightly thick around the edges. Fill with favorite filling and toppings and bake according to pizza recipe directions, or about 15 to 20 minutes at 425°.
