I just posted about the earth dividing which is scientific and the bible talking about it in Genesis 10:25 "And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided" http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/aso/tryit/tectonics/intro.html

This was during the era of Babel when God confused the people with language and scatttered them all over earth. Then the earth divided according to the bible.

All the atheist here just seemed to not pay any attention to the bible accuracy and the evidence and mocked the bible. We live in an age where people mock and make fun of God's word much like in Noah's age before the flood.

Considering those events never happened, it tells me we are in a new age. Hopefully it builds steam faster.

Well first when God flooded Noah world it was his world as far as he could see or travel, do you know that even if it rained for 60 day's and nights there would not be enough water to flood the world FACT, Noah's age what was it they lived to in those days around 500, but this would not have been years, because they did not at this time measure time in this way, his age would have been more likely measured by the number of moons that passed so he would have been say 500 moons, = about 41 and half years, so as much as i have faith in God, I have little faith in the words of man who used his own words for writing the bible, yes there is a lot of truth in the bible which can be proved today with history,

I can only assume that this is in relation to the mid-Atlantic ridge.

I think you need to read a little more regarding tectonics and Pangaea. As the Great Gazoo mentions, the time frames are much longer. When you do read about the ridge, pay attention to the samples that have been found that lead scientists to believe that the Earth's magnetic field has changed directions numerous times. This data itself would contradict the Biblical time-line.

Christian scripture can be (mis)interpreted to record and prophesise just about any eventuality.

I admire your faith, but understand as a historical document the Bible is fascinating and intriguing, but perhaps not accurate or evidence based. It is an article of scripture not geophysics and should be understood as such. Dogmatically insisting that Biblical entries must match physical evidence does much more harm to the integrity of religion than it does to the reputation of science.

I personally do not believe the Genesis entry is alluding to the division of Pangaea (about) 200 million years ago.

Did you just say, and I quote. "All the atheist here just seemed to not pay attention to the bible accuracy and the evidence and mocked the bible". ( accuracy and evidence).
Those are two words that are never associated with the bible. The pope and all the theologians cannot prove anything in the bible for lack of evidence or accuracy. But you can.

Nice of you to acknowledge publicly what our society is like in comparison to the last "end times" (flood times). Too much wickedness and look what happened. And in Revelation, it says that these things may not come to pass quickly, BUT THEY WILL COME TO PASS! (when talking about the prophesies). I'm making my attempts with my children to teach them of God. Just by being children, I learn more about God from them just by watching how they interact naturally with goodness and kindness. And as for the "educated" of the world, the only education in this lifetime that will serve them well will be to learn and live the Word of the Lord.

Good Point! Another thing glossed over by non believers is how, if not from God, did the early Prophets know about the Earth's continents dividing? They couldn't have. Just another check mark for the validity of Gods word!

Your ignorance is sad and a poor reflection of the education system you seem to have missed . Learn something for yourself, anything, try and THINK before you babble like a baby anymore.

No I was mocking the fact that you are taking a process that would need a billion years or so and thinking that you can squeeze it in to a few thousand. It isn't possible.

You believe that your information is true, it is not. It would be laughed at by any 1st year Geography student. You have been conditioned to believe what is to educated folk - rubbish. Still don`t believe me, contact the Natural History Museum, tell them your theory - don`t expect a doctorate !!
